The Thomas Hardye School is celebrating another outstanding set of A Levels results. The overall pass rate was 99% with over one quarter of passes at grade A or A* – a remarkable achievement in a comprehensive school. The results confirm Thomas Hardye's position as a leading provider of post-16 education with a national reputation.
Most students succeeded in getting their first choice of university – including four to Oxford or Cambridge. Several students achieved straight A*s across all subjects. A very small number of students have gone into clearing which is evidence of the excellent results and the support that has gone into the application process.
Mike Foley, Headteacher, was keen to recognise the work of students and their teachers:
"These are exceptional results, part of a consistent record of excellence over the past five years. Congratulations are due to a wonderful set of students, supported by their parents. I want to pay particular tribute to the teaching staff who have navigated their way through a complex set of reforms and these results are a testament to their skills and abilities. Our Ofsted report commented on the inspirational teaching in the sixth form and this is the outcome."
