CCTV appeal following shoplifting offence on Portland

Officers investigating a report of a theft from Lidl on Portland are issuing CCTV images of two people they would like to speak to.

At 4.14pm on Wednesday 11 December 2019 a man and woman entered Lidl on Hamm Beach Road and selected two flat screen TVs along with a number of toys and other items worth approximately £340.

They then tried to leave with the trolley full of items, but it became stuck. Taking the goods from the trolley, they got into a dark-coloured Ford and left without paying.

Sergeant Carmel Ryan, of Dorset Police, said: "Following enquiries into this incident, I have obtained CCTV images of two people I would like to speak to.

"I would urge anyone with information about their identity to please get in touch."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email 101@dorset.pnn.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55190194899. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
