CCTV appeal following criminal damage to boat in Weymouth

Officers investigating criminal damage to a boat in Weymouth are issuing a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to.

Dorset Police received a report at around 9.30am on Monday 26 October 2020 that a bottle had caused damage to the windscreen of a boat in the harbour.

Officers have carried out a number of enquiries, including checking CCTV in the area, and have identified that the incident occurred at around 11.30pm on Friday 23 October 2020.

Police Community Support Investigator Tom Reynolds, of Weymouth police, said: “This incident caused a significant amount of damage to the boat, costing around £2000 to repair.

“I have been carrying out a number of enquiries into this incident and am now in a position to release a CCTV image of a man I would like to speak to as part of my investigation.

“I would ask anyone who recognises him to please get in touch.”
