Discussion on sight loss, loneliness and Mental Health Awareness

In recent times Mental Health Awareness has become increasingly important, particularly in the context of the pandemic, war in Ukraine and the spiralling cost of living. But, as far as day to day life is concerned, some within our community are more vulnerable than others particularly if they have a physical handicap – loss of sight, for example which, in itself, is a cause of isolation and mental stress. We were joined by Leah Cross, lead Community Support worker for the Dorset Blind Association, who spoke about the issues surrounding sight loss in this, the Mental Health Awareness Week…
