Officers investigating an assault in Weymouth town centre are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to get in touch.
At around 3.55pm on Saturday 13 May 2023 two Community Safety Accreditation Scheme (CSAS) officers approached two young people at the pier.
It is reported that one of the CSAS officers was pushed by a boy, before beer was thrown over him.
The two boys fled the scene and officers attended to carry out searches of the area to locate them.
The offending boy is described as approximately 17 years old, five feet ten inches tall, clean shaven and had dark curly hair that was short at the sides. He was wearing grey shorts over the top of red shorts, a white or grey T-shirt, trainers and black sunglasses.
Police Constable Richard Paterson, of Weymouth police, said: “It is unacceptable for someone to be assaulted while doing their job and we are carrying out an investigation to identify the person responsible.
“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and witnessed what happened, or may have captured any relevant footage, to please come forward.”
