The countdown starts for Weymouth Ironman 2023

The Countdown is on for Weymouth’s biggest sporting event of the year, the Weymouth 70.3 Ironman which starts on Sunday 17th September at 7:15 am on Preston Beach Road opposite the Sea Life Centre.

The competition kicks off with a 1.2 mile swim, then the competitors transition into their cycling gear for a 56-mile bike ride, then on their return to Lodmoor change into running gear for a 13.1 mile run.

Last year’s event attracted over 2800 athletes in various categories with Great Britain athletes finishing first, second and third in both male and female categories.
