Storm Darragh put paid to most local sports this weekend, but some did go ahead.
In the Southern Premier League, Dorchester overcame the challenge of Hungerford Town at the Avenue Stadium, beating their visitors by 4 goals to 2.
The Magpie’s goals came from Olaf Koszela, who scored a pair with a goal each courtesy of Luke Pardoe and Corby Moore.
On Sunday, the Magpies Ladies team lost at home against visitors Shaftsbury by 4 goals to 1
A first league defeat of the season sees the Magpies Ladies’ unbeaten home record come to an end.
Naomi Johnson scored their only goal.
Weymouth Women’s Development team also lost against their Swanage and Herston counterparts, going down 6 goals, 1 at home, with Sadie Osborne netting for the Terras’ Ladies.
Much of the same in the local rugby, with only Weymouth & Portland playing.
The Seahorses travelled to Bestwall Park and returned after winning the game against Swanage & Wareham’s second team by 19 points to 18.
