Image appeal following assault near Dorchester

Police officers investigating an assault near Dorchester are issuing an image of a man they would like to identify.

At around 12pm on Thursday 19 December 2024 a woman was reportedly assaulted by a man in the Broadmayne area.

It is alleged the man pushed the victim several times before grabbing her phone and throwing it to the floor.

Police Constable Ran Hartman-Turner, of Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident and we are now in a position to release an image of a man we are looking to identify as part of our enquiries.

“While I appreciate his face is covered, I am hoping someone may still know who he is and I would urge anyone who recognises him to please contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55240193854. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online at Crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111.
