Free parking in Dorchester extended by anonymous hero!

Dorset Council has already announced that Park4FREE parking in the town’s council-owned car parks would be free on certain days in November and December.

This free parking has been extended via the Dorchester BID by an anonymous benefactor to include the Christmas Cracker day on 14th December.

A spokesperson for Dorchester BID said: “We can’t promise you snow at Christmas, we can’t promise you lots of people all dressed up like some kind of wondrous Victorian street scene and we definitely can’t provide a big wheel BUT….thank you so much to our anonymous Christmas hero and also a huge thank you to Dorset Council parking services for also helping make this Christmas miracle come to life on Sunday the 14th Dec!”

Therefore the remaining free parking days are these:

  • Saturday 29th November
  • Saturday 6th December
  • Thursday 11th December
  • Sunday 14th December

Please note, as it says on the Park4Free flyers, free parking applies to most, but not all, car parks in Dorchester – e.g. on street parking and the Co-op car park are, as usual, excluded.

Christmas Cracker runs from 11 am till 4 pm on 14th December.
