The not for profit volunteer run community radio station covering central-southern Dorset

Our Supporters

The radio station is run by an enthusiastic group of volunteers who give freely of their time and expenses, but there are substantial annual running costs such as the, legally required, licence to broadcast on FM radio in the UK, imposed by the Government via Ofcom, and the licence to broadcast musical performance (i.e. music tracks) which ensures royalties are paid to composers and artists represented by the Performing Rights Society/Mechanical Copyright Protection Society and Phonographic Performance Limited – otherwise known as PRS/PPL.

Other major commitments include the considerable cost of the studio and transmitter equipment (plus maintenance, upgrades and replacement) and utility bills such as rent of our premises, insurance and Internet/telephone/broadband costs.

KeeP 106 depends on financial help from local businesses and organisations in order to keep broadcasting and we are grateful to the growing list of businesses and organisations for their support, past and present. You can find out more information about them by clicking on a logo below which will open the associated website.

Please help your local radio station KeeP on air and online by letting us help your local business flourish through inexpensive sponsorship and/or advertising.
