A man has come forward following an appeal in relation to a reported purse theft in Dorchester.
Between 12.45pm and 1.30pm on Thursday 18 October 2018 a woman aged in her 80s reported that her purse had been stolen while shopping in the town centre and her bank card was allegedly used for a transaction at the Co-Op store in Trinity Street.
Following a public appeal, a 22-year-old man from Oxfordshire has contacted police. He is assisting officers with their investigation and is not being treated as a suspect. No arrests have been made.
