Kate’s fight on FND continues with Rollerthon this weekend

7th to the 13th April is FND awareness week around the world.

This year the project, set up by FND Hope UK, to raise awareness and fundraise, is for people do a sponsored wheel so that together we travel the distance around the world on wheels!

This can be done in a wheelchair, mobility vehicle, roller blades, bike, scooter, skateboard, push a pram, basically anything with wheels! The idea is that each person gets sponsored. You can do this by setting up a Just Giving page or you can signpost people to Kate’s own Just Giving page if this is easier: Kate’s fight against FND.

Equally though raising awareness of FND is just as important, if not more so.

Kate will be holding a Rollerthon in Weymouth on Saturday 6th April from 11.30 till 12.30. Leaflets will be handed out on the roll to give people more information on the condition and the fight.

“We will be rolling along Weymouth Pier from Oasis Cafe to the tower on Stone pier. Please meet on the pier outside oasis cafe. Please bring all your family and friends along, the more people that take part the better! I am hoping for lots of media coverage to help raise awareness of Functional Neurological Disorder. Anyone wishing to attended and take part should, if they can, wear a T-shirt with “Raising awareness of Functional Neurological Disorder”, this would be great”
