Waterside name their chosen charity

Weldmar Hospicecare is Waterside Holiday Group’s chosen charity for 2019. The Group will be hosting fundraising events and initiatives throughout the year to raise vital funds for the organisation.

The charity provides end of life care for people living in Dorset who need specialist support. It provides a compassionate approach and supports patients and their families with free care that is reliant on public donations.

Allen Main, general manager at Waterside Holiday Group, commented: “We supported Weldmar Hospicecare throughout 2018 and have raised £2,054 so far this season from various initiatives including charity collection pots and family-friendly activities.”

Fiona Hansford, business development fundraiser at Weldmar Hospicecare, added: “We are absolutely delighted to have been chosen as The Group’s charity this year. The team there have been so supportive already and have come up with some fantastic ways to raise money over the course of this year and I am really looking forward to working with them.

“As Weldmar Hospicecare relies heavily on the support of the local community to provide vital services to the people of Dorset, we are extremely grateful to the team at Waterside for their support.”
