DCH gearing itself up for Summer spectacular

This weekend, DCH will be hosting its first Summer Spectacular! It will be held on the former Damers School field next to the hospital on Saturday 6 July from 2pm until 5pm.

It will be a traditional fete with stalls and games, as well as a performance arena and a grand raffle – fun for all the family!

As a result of the success of the Cancer Appeal, the Trust now plans to upgrade the hospital’s existing Chemotherapy Unit in line with the quality of outpatient and radiotherapy services now available in the Robert White Centre.

The Summer Spectacular will therefore be raising funds for the Chemotherapy Appeal as well as other good causes!

The top prize for our raffle is a Duchee Hamper! Other prizes include tickets for Swanage Steam Railway, Falmer Palmers, Cineworld Weymouth, Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens and Weymouth Bay Rib Charter!

There are some amazing prizes from local businesses for their Grand Raffle, including tickets to top attractions and restaurant vouchers. Tickets are £1 and available now from the hospital’s main reception, the chief executive’s office at Trust HQ or by calling Lee Armstrong on 01305 253437.

They have finalised their performances for the day which are as follows:

2.00pm Official opening by Deputy Mayor of Dorchester, David Taylor

2.15pm Dorchester Town Crier, Alistair Chisholm

2.35pm Twirl Academy

3.00pm Rock Choir
