POWFS says farewell to long serving TA

The Prince of Wales School in Dorchester said farewell to one of its longest serving Teaching Assistants with a very special assembly.

Mrs Julie Webb has been a Senior Teaching Assistant at The Prince of Wales School in Maiden Castle Road, Dorchester for over twenty years.

Julie, who is known for her artistic and culinary skills and her incredibly creative flair, was surprised in her final assembly with a special montage of photos from her time at the school. The assembly included a special speech from former Headteacher of The Prince of Wales School, Mr. Peter Farrington who reflected fondly on the contribution Julie had made over a significant number of years.

Message of thanks were shared through a unique ‘Mrs. Webb tribute video’ from former Class Teachers, Mrs. Jen Griffin (now teacher at Westfield Arts College) and Mrs. Melanie Pallister (now Headteacher at Manor Park First School). The video included a specially choreographed dance routine and filming a ‘secret locations’!

Current Headteacher, Mr. Gary Spracklen had this message for Julie: “You have been an incredible colleague to work with. You embody everything that The Prince of Wales School stands for. You put the children at the heart of everything that you do. You’ve supported so many children, parents and colleagues over the years. We’re going to miss you so much. Thank you!”

Those wishing to add their thanks to Mrs. Webb are encouraged to visit the school’s Facebook page at – www.facebook.com/POWFS where a number of messages have already been left.
