Shake It All About at Open Dor-chester

Tom Browns pub in High East Street, Dorchester, is once again organising a giant Hokey Cokey as part of OPEN DOR-chester on 15th September. The Annual Shake It All About is now in its second year, the brain child of regular Matthew Parkes who thought it would be funny to dance in the street whilst the road was closed for the event.

Katy Jones, manager of Tom Browns, said: “The first year we had a over 150 dancing, this year our Facebook interest is currently at 1.9K!

“We have an outside bar from Copper Street Brewery selling local ales, Face painter, Ice Cream Van and Big Bun Little Bun selling Burgers, Hotdogs and Jerk Halloumi Wraps.

“We aim to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society which is a cause close to Matthews heart.”

Dancing to the Hokey Cokey begins at 2pm and will be followed by local funk band Vanilla Radio at 3pm.
