Flooding is possible for: Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Seatown, West Bay, Bothenhampton, Burton Freshwater, Burton Bradstock, Cogden Beach, Chesil Beach, West Fleet, East Fleet and Chiswell.
Be prepared.
A tidal surge is expected on the West Dorset Coast particularly Portland as a result of high spring tides and strong winds this evening and tomorrow morning. High water is at 7.05 pm this evening 27/11/2019 and at 7:30 am in the morning 28/11/2019. The wind strength is Force 6 from the west. Flooding to roads and farmland is expected and may apply two to four hours either side of the high tides. There is a possibility of flooding for the Chiswell area. We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident response staff are checking defences. Please stay away from large waves and keep aware in case further warnings are issued. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 28/11/2019, or as the situation changes.
