CCTV appeal following fraudulent bank card use in Weymouth

Officers investigating the fraudulent use of a bank card in Weymouth are issuing a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to.

A woman aged in her 30s reported that on Wednesday 27 November 2019 she had lost her bank card after getting on the train at Upwey station to Weymouth at around 3.55pm.

After contacting her bank it was established that five transactions were carried out using the card at various stores in Weymouth between 4pm and 5pm that same day, with the amount spent totalling more than £110.

Police Constable Tim Beckwith, of Weymouth police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this matter and have obtained CCTV images showing a man who is believed to have used the card at one of the locations in Weymouth.

“I would urge anyone with information as to his identity to please contact us.”
