Appeal for information following collision in Weymouth

Officers are appealing for information from the public following a fail-to-stop collision in Weymouth.

At around 9pm on Tuesday 10 December 2019 Dorset Police was called to reports that a silver Ford Mondeo had collided with parked vehicles in Chickerell Road. It is reported the driver and occupants fled the scene.

A number of vehicles were damaged in the incident and an investigation is underway. The fire service attended to make one of the vehicles safe.

It is believed occupants of the vehicle could have sustained serious injuries and may require urgent medical attention.

Police Constable Scott Thorne, of Weymouth and Portland police said: “I am appealing to anyone who may know the occupants of the vehicle to please contact me as I am concerned for their welfare and would like to ensure they are safe.

“I would ask anyone with any information about this incident to please come forward to Dorset Police.”
