Chris Loder, MP for West Dorset, became ‘white van man’ over the Easter weekend as he got hands-on delivering Dorset-made hand sanitiser to care homes and surgeries across the constituency who had asked for his help.
From Bridport and Portesham to Beaminster and Sherborne, the MP delivered 120 litres of sanitiser on a mission to top up local healthcare supplies.
In the past few weeks Chris has been working with the team at Black Cow Vodka in Childhay to make hand sanitiser using denatured spirit.
The MP said: “This is community ‘spirit’ at its very best. I’m so grateful to Black Cow Vodka for supporting my call for more hand sanitiser where it’s needed most and I look forward to working with them as new products are developed. The healthcare centres were really grateful for the delivery, especially over a holiday weekend when they had opened for extended hours to care for local communities”.
