Witness appeal following thefts from vehicles near Dorchester

Officers investigating a series of thefts from vehicles near Dorchester are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Overnight between Tuesday 6 October and Wednesday 7 October 2020 four vehicles were broken into in Puddletown.

Power tools were stolen from all four vehicles.

Police Sergeant Andy Napper, of Dorchester Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “An investigation is underway into these thefts and officers will be carrying out house-to-house enquiries in the area.

“I am appealing to anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the village overnight to please get in touch.

“I would ask residents to please check their home CCTV systems for any relevant footage to assist my investigation.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who has seen any power tools for sale locally in unusual circumstances.”
