‘Dorchester at Christmas 2020’ DVD now available

Dorchester Town Council and Dorchester Choral Society have created a wonderful film for the town, to bring the community together to celebrate Christmas 2020 in a different way.

‘Dorchester at Christmas 2020’ is available as a DVD from several outlets in the town including the Post Office, Goulds (household), the Tourist Information Centre and Poundbury Garden Centre.

The film features traditional carols, music, and readings involving our local schools, musicians and celebrities.

Jane Howard from the Choral Society says “It really will make a very lovely stocking filler and memento of an extraordinary year.

“Everyone involved in the film knows that the audience will feel the magic of Christmas as they watch Dorchester at Christmas 2020.”

Alternatively, you can view the film online on You Tube by searching for Dorchester at Christmas 2020, or following the link below. The film is free to view, but the organisers are asking people to make a donation if they can, which will be shared between 5 local charities: the Dorset County Hospital Charity Christmas Appeal, Dorchester Family Support, Dorchester Poverty Action, Home-Start West Dorset and Weldmar Hospicecare.
