Officers investigating a commercial burglary on Portland are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Between 7pm on Tuesday 25 May and 7.30am on Wednesday 26 May 2021 entry was gained to Portland Scrap Metal Ltd on Wide Street.

A number of items were stolen, including two grey and orange Stihl TS 410 saws and a red and black Snap-on Impact Gun.

Police Constable Adam Chudley, of Weymouth and Portland police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the area during the relevant timeframe to please get in touch.

“I would urge residents in the local area to check their home CCTV systems for any footage that may assist my enquiries.

“Finally, I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who has seen items matching the tools described for sale locally in unusual circumstances.”
