Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following a criminal damage incident in Weymouth.

It was reported that sometime between 2.40pm and 3pm on Monday 5 July 2021 petrol was poured over a front door and through the letterbox of an address in Wyke Road. A green petrol can with ribbons attached was found outside the property.

Police Constable Connor Lombardo, of Weymouth police, said: “This was a very upsetting incident for the victims and we are carrying out a number of enquiries to identify who was responsible.

“I would appeal to anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area, or who has any information that might assist our investigation, to please contact us.

“I would also ask anyone who was driving in the area around the relevant time and has dashcam fitted to their vehicle to please check their footage for anything of relevance.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email 101@dorset.pnn.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55210107117.
