Dorchester Christmas Cracker to go all day!

Dorchester Christmas Cracker returns for 2021 with a new format. Over the past 25 years the Cracker night has been held on a Thursday evening and it traditionally rained.

This year the team organising the event which includes representatives from Dorchester Chamber for Business, Dorchester BID and the retail community have decided to expand the event and hold an all day celebration of Christmas.

The Cracker Day will be held on Sunday 12 December from 11am to 4pm and include festive stalls in High West Street and two Craft Fairs, one in Shire Hall and the second in the Corn Exchange.

A spokesperson for the team told KeeP 106: “With a year off due to Covid we decided it was an opportunity to try something different. We are expecting plenty of festive stalls, entertainment and a visit from Santa.”

High West Street will be closed from Top of Town roundabout to the junction with Church Street.

There are opportunities for local businesses to have a street pitch on High West Street or a table in the craft fair in the Corn Exchange.
