Ingleside Residential Home, situated in Upwey, has been bringing smiles to their residents’ faces recently by attempting to grant as many of their wishes as possible.
Wishes so far have included a trip to Bovington Tank Museum for a resident who has fond memories of his time in the army and a visit from a local riding stables, organized by Activities Coordinator Jennifer Webster.
The next items on the wish list are a visit to Weymouth Football Club for a footballing fan and a silent firework bonfire night celebration.
Claudia Webb, Manager of Ingleside, told KeeP 106: “Seeing our residents happy is such a fantastic result. The Ingleside family are always looking for ways to go the extra mile to ensure that our residents live contented, fulfilled, and meaningful lives. We believe that getting residents to set achievable hopes and dreams for the future is the perfect way to achieve this and is especially important since Covid-19 limited quality of life for so long.”
“We are grateful to everyone who helps us achieve these dreams and to the Weymouth Morrison’s who kindly give us many items for fun activities.”
Ingleside is a friendly, 17 bed residential home in a lovely Dorset setting. Ingleside was established in 1985 and really is a home, with a relaxed atmosphere and genuine respect for residents.
