Only two weeks to go before Window Wanderland

There are only two weeks to go to the second Dorchester Window Wanderland, which will run from Friday, 4th March to Sunday 6th March . On these three evenings (from 6pm-9pm), local residents will be able to enjoy an outdoor trail of decorated windows. People will be able plan their walk around the windows using an interactive map available on the Dorchester Window Wanderland web page. A map will also be available to download and print before the event.

Kathy O’Borne, volunteer organiser said: “We are hoping that this year’s Window Wanderland is even bigger and better than 2021! Last year was a really lovely community event. With half-term approaching, Dorchester Window Wanderland is a perfect project for the whole family to get involved in. If you’re not sure what to put in your window, just visit our Facebook page @wwdorch – we will be sharing lots of tips and ideas ”

These were among comments about the first Dorchester Window Wanderland in 2021:

  • “Thank you. It was perfect timing as we are new to Dorchester and it gave me something to do to feel involved”.
  • “Thank you for organising, it’s been so nice to have something creative and positive to focus on. My 3 year old twins gave me a helping hand”
  • “It has been amazing driving around looking at all the amazing windows. A lot of work has gone into designing them. I know there is a lot more to see. Thank you so much everyone for bringing so much joy to everyone. It would be lovely if this was done every year.”

It is easy to get involved and register your home or business as part of the Dorchester Window Wanderland trail. If you want to make a display, just visit the event here:
