Burglary at Weymouth hotel – appeal for information

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed suspicious activity to come forward following a burglary at a hotel in Weymouth.

Between 6.30pm and 7.45pm on Tuesday 17 May 2022 a room at The Russell Hotel on The Esplanade was broken into.

A quantity of cash was stolen from a handbag.

Police Constable Charlie Andrews, of Weymouth police, said: “We have carried out a number of enquiries into this incident so far, including checking internal CCTV and speaking to people at the hotel.

“I am now appealing to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity outside or in the vicinity of the hotel around the relevant time period to please get in touch.”
