Six vehicles damaged in Weymouth – witness appeal

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following alleged criminal damage to vehicles in Weymouth.

Between 5.30am and 6am on Sunday 29 May 2022 it is reported that damage was caused to six vehicles that were parked in Park Street.

It is reported that damage was caused to wing mirrors and a window of one of the vehicles was smashed.

Officers attended and two men aged 25, from Weymouth and the Dorchester area, were arrested on suspicion of criminal damage. They have both been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Police Constable Matthew Barrett, of Dorset Police, said: “I am carrying out enquiries to establish exactly what happened and would urge anyone who witnessed the incident to please get in touch.
“If you live in the nearby area I would ask you to please check your home CCTV systems for anything of relevance to help my enquiries.”
