Emergency Services responded to reports of concern for the welfare of a female in the water at Cogden beach yesterday (26 July), near to Burton Bradstock.
A dog walker discovered the unwell woman by the water and alerted the emergency services.
The Coastguard helicopter, an RNLI lifeboat, a volunteer Coastguard Search & Rescue team, and a land ambulance & officer, from the South Western Ambulance Service, all responded to the incident shortly after 5.30pm.
The woman was airlifted to Dorset County Hospital by the Coastguard.
