The Purbeck Moto X Club in liaison with Weymouth Lions Club stage the Weymouth Beach Motocross 2022 event on the town’s beach on 9th October. Riders from all 4 corners of the UK compete in Junior, Senior and Expert classes.
Practice begins at 12 noon with the first race starting at 1 00pm.
One local rider said he had been racing since he was a teenager and it was the only circuit where he could max out his bike.

Weymouth football club travel to play National League South’s 13th placed Eastbourne Borough on Saturday and new manager Bobby Wilkinson will be hoping extend last week’s much improved performance when the Terras beat visitors Welling by 3 goals to nil in the F A Cup into this league game.
Currently the Terras are rooted to the bottom on the table with a playing record of played 10, won 0, drawn 2 and loosing 8 with just 2 league points, so if they can return with any kind of a favourable result that would be a massive bonus for the club.
Dorchester are also on the road into Devon to lock horns with Plymouth Parkway in the 3rd round of the Isuzu sponsored FA Trophy.
In the Wessex League Portland United play hosts to Fareham Town at Grove Corner while Bridport now with new manager Chris Herbst at the helm who steps up from managing the Bee’s reserves, visit Newton Abbott Spurs in the South West Peninsular League East.
On Sunday kicking off at 2 00 pm at the bob Lucas Stadium Weymouth Football Club’s Women’s team entertain Stockwood Wanderers.
There is little rugby on the horizon this weekend as both Dorchester and Weymouth and Portland and Bridport have no league fixtures, so if you want to take in a game head to Bestwall Park Wareham where the Swans second team entertain Puddletown for a Tribute Dorset and Wilts division 1 South fixture.
