Flood warning for Preston Beach

A Flood Warning has been issued for Tuesday evening’s tide at Preston Beach. Water levels will be higher than normal due to a spring tide, a tidal surge, strong winds and large waves.

High tide this evening (08/11/2022) at Preston Beach will be at 18:43 PM, with force 7 south westerly winds. Flooding is possible at the Sea Life Centre and the Preston Beach Road area of Lodmoor. Conditions may apply one to two hours either side of the high tide.

Please be careful along beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as large waves and sea spray could be dangerous.

We continue to monitor the forecast and will re-issue this warning if necessary.

This message will be updated by 12:00 PM on 09/11/2022, or as the situation changes
