A crowd of an estimated 75 people attended the service of remembrance at the War Memorial on Weymouth Esplanade of Friday at 11 00 am to honour those fallen in battle.
A two-minute silence was observed, Michael Gill chairman of the Weymouth branch of the Royal British Legion said, “The turnout was good to see, it’s vital that we remember the sacrifice, not only of the First World War, but subsequent conflicts as well”.
