Weekend Sports Preview

Weymouth Football Club manager Bobby Wilkinson will be hoping that the return of fans favorite Ben Thomson from Salisbury will solve the goal scoring drought that have dogged his first team squad from the start of the season and what better time to start than on Saturday at Welling.

The Terras are currently propping up the whole of the National League South table but have games in hand over most of the teams in the league table above them.

Dorchester Football Club visit Winchester City for a Southern League Premier fixture after almost 2 weeks of inactivity.

In the Wessex League Portland United are away at Alresford Town.

Weymouth Football Club will be holding a Fan’s Forum at the Bob Lucas Stadium on Tuesday December the 6th starting at 6 15pm.

CEO Paul Maitland and first team and manager Bobby Wilkinson will be attending to answer questions from the fans.

The Terra’s home fixture against Concord Rangers will take place on Tuesday 10th of January kicking off at 6 15pm.

Local rugby is back on this weekend after a week’s mid-season break with Dorchester entertaining Frome second team, Swanage & Wareham travelling to Combe Down and Blandford hosting Walcott all in Tribute Southern Counties League South.

In Tribute Dorset & Wilts Division 1 South Weymouth & Portland skipper Billy Hayne will be hoping that his charges will not be ring rusty following 3 weeks without a game when they run out against Bridport at Brewery Field.

Lytchett Minster and Puddletown lock horns in another derby with Swanage & Wareham Extra First xv hosting East Dorset Dockers at Bestwall.
