Arrest made following warrant near Bridport

A man has been arrested and a number of items have been seized following a warrant at an address near Bridport.

At around 7.45am on Tuesday 24 January 2023, officers from Bridport Neighbourhood Policing Team conducted a warrant under section eight of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act at an address in the Bradpole area.

A 45-year-old man from the Bridport area has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A and class B and possession of criminal property.

During the warrant, officers located and seized quantities of suspected class A and class B drugs, a large quantity of cash, a high-value watch and a Land Rover defender.

Neighbourhood Inspector Ged Want, of West Dorset, said: “This warrant involved joint efforts from a number of teams across the Force and an investigation will now be carried out.

“We are committed to relentlessly pursuing anyone who is suspected of being involved in criminality to ensure Dorset is a safe county for everyone.”
