UPDATED: Weekend Sports Report

Keelan O’Connell salvaged a crucial National League South point for Weymouth at Havent & Waterlooville with a 91st minute strike after the Terras had been trailing by 2 goals to 1.

Weymouth’s opener came from the left boot of Bradley Ash who found the top corner of the goals from 20 yards out.

Dorchester however failed to trouble the scoreboard operator loosing by 2 goals to nil away at Chesham.

In Saturday mornings early kick off Bridport overcame the challenge of Axminster at St Mary’s beating their guests by 4 goals to 2 their scorers were Riley Weedon with 2 and one each from Luke King and Brad Rowe.

On Saturday Portland hosted Shaftsbury at Grove Corner in the Wessex league and made it 6 wins on the spin adding to that keeping another clean sheet, the Blues goals came from Brin Doyle and Liam Sayers making the final score Portland 2 Shaftsbury nil.

On Sunday at Dorchester Rugby Club the Dorset & Wilts Under 20 County Rugby Team played their Berkshire counterparts in the Jason Leonard Under 20 County Championship and ran out winners by 57 points to 12. Dorchester Rugby Club’s Brook Legg scored 2 tries for the Twin Counties and Ollie Wills 1.

On Monday Weymouth’s Tom Bearwish gave the Terras’ fans some hopes of National League South Survival at the Bob Lucas Stadium against Bath striking an 87th minute penalty past the Roman’s keeper making the final score Weymouth 1 Bath City nil.

No luck for Dorchester who opened the scoring against Poole Town through Alex Moyes, however the Dolphins then scored 6 unanswered goals to bank all 3 Southern League points.

Bridport hosted Brixham at St Mary’s and took the lead through Riley Weedon, but it was the Fisherman who took all 3 South West Peninsular League East points back to Devon winning the game by 2 goals to 1.
