Witness appeal after reported affray in Weymouth

Dorset Police received a report at around 6.45pm on Tuesday 23 May 2023 of a disturbance involving a man outside The John Gregory pub in Radipole Lane and officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

It is reported that the man shouted threats toward members of the public.

Officers attended and a 40-year-old man from Weymouth was arrested on suspicion of affray. He has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.

Police Constable Harry Chaplin, of Weymouth police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and witnessed what happened to please get in touch.

“If you were travelling in the area and have a dashcam fitted to your vehicle, please check your footage for anything that may assist our investigation.”
