Royal visit to Poundbury, with audio report

By KeeP 106 presenters and reporters, Nick Billings and Peter Foster:

Crowds gathered in Poundbury today as King Charles and Queen Camilla made a visit there to mark the completion of the Queen Mother square.

A local brass band welcomed the arrival of  the royal couple, who unveiled a plaque of commemoration at the Royal Pavilion, as well as officially opening the Duke of Edinburgh garden in which the bronze bust of the late Duke now resides.

It is the first official visit to Poundbury since King Charles was crowned.

Peter Foster attended the event and here’s his audio report from Queen Mother Square…

Following the  Royal visit Pete Foster spoke to the Mayor of Dorchester, Alistair Chisholm, and Town Clerk, Steve Newman…
