Weekend Sports Report

Three of our local football clubs were in pre-season action on Saturday.

Weymouth travelled to Wimborne and returned with 3 goals to 2 win under their belts.

The Terras goals coming from Tom Bearwish with a penalty with Tommy Stag and Elliott Rossiter adding a goal each.

Dorchester went down at the Avenue Stadium by a goal to nil against Weston Super Mare while Bridport beat visitors Hamworthy Recreation coming from behind to win by 4 goals to 1.

FA Draws.

Kyle Critchell’s Portland United have been drawn away in the Extra Preliminary Round of the FA Cup against Horndean, the game will take place on August the nineteenth and Bridport have drawn a home tie against Hamble and in the first qualifying round of the FA Vase with that fixture taking place on August the twenty sixth.

The weather took its toll of the Dorset cricket leagues on Saturday with only 2 of our local clubs who managed to fulfil their fixtures both in the Premier League.

Cattistock and Symene lost at home against Sherborne by 4 wickets and and Martinstown won away at Christchurch by 7 wickets.
