Rotary collection in Dorchester to support Morocco

The Rotary Club of Dorchester Casterbridge will be out in force on Saturday 16th and Wednesday 20th September in South Street Dorchester between 10am and 4pm making a Street Collection to provide aid for those affected by the Disaster in Morocco.

On Friday 8th September at 11pm local time a 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck killing over 2800 and leaving about 2,500 people injured and thousands displaced from their homes.

Club President Dave Harris said “All funds raised by the Casterbridge Rotary Club will be donated to ShelterBox www.shelterbox.org. This is a charity set up in 2000 by a Rotarian and so we know its credentials.”

Dave continued “Money donated will help ShelterBox provide items such as their boxes which contain everything a family needs to rebuild their lives – a shelter, blankets, water purification system, cooking equipment and tools for rebuilding and planting.

We know that the last few years have been difficult at home, but if you see our collectors, please give what you can to help”.

Thank you in anticipation for your support
