Further arrest made following reported assault in Weymouth

Detectives have made a second arrest as investigations continue into a reported assault in Weymouth.

It was reported that at around 2.10am on Sunday 12 November 2023 a man was assaulted by a man and a woman at an address in Lennox Street. He was taken to hospital for treatment to a number of facial injuries that were believed to be serious but not life-threatening.

Following enquiries at the scene, a woman aged in her 30s was arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent and was released on police bail.

Detectives from Dorset County CID have continued to investigate the incident and a Weymouth man aged in his 30s has now been arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm and robbery. He has also been released on police bail as enquiries continue.
