Witness appeal following indecent exposure in Bridport

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following an indecent exposure incident in Bridport.

The incident occurred shortly before 5pm on Friday 24 November 2023 as the victim – a teenage girl – was walking her dog in Pymore Road close to the junction with Dodhams Lane.

It is reported that a male teenager attempted to get the victim’s attention before indecently exposing himself. The victim managed to quickly leave the area.

The suspect is described as aged in his mid to late teens, of slim build with short curly black hair and was wearing mostly dark-coloured clothing.

Police Constable Tim Sturgess, of Bridport police, said: “Officers attended and carried out searches of the area, but the offender was not located.

“This was understandably a very frightening incident for the victim and we are carrying out numerous enquiries to identify the suspect.

“I am appealing to anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area, or has relevant information to assist my investigation, to please get in touch.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55230185786. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online at Crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111.
