Walking Football from Weymouth in the Community

Starting on Friday January 5th 2024 Weymouth in the Community  in partnership with Weymouth Football Club will be holding “open sessions” for Women and Mixed Men/Women walking football.

Friday evening sessions as below:-

7-8pm: 1 hours session open to all women over the age of 30 with professional coaching.

8-9pm: 1 hours open session for mixed, ideal for Women over 30 and Men over 40

Weymouth FC currently has three teams in the Men’s Category (mixed allowed) in the over 50s, 60s and 65s groups.

They aim to promote football as an inclusive sport for all, creating a Women’s team to play with the Dorset County Football Association structure.

The sessions are suitable for those who want to get into the game to play or just for fitness, social interaction or fun.

All January sessions will be free to encourage people to join in and from February it will be £3.00 per session.

• Venue: Redlands Community Sports Hub, Dorchester Road, Weymouth

• Meet down at the 3G approx 10mins before the start of the session

Men’s Walking football teams generally start at 50+ (with some exceptions) but we want to use these sessions so that men in the 40+ age range can be involved and if wanted participate in friendly games.
