Our reporter Idris Martin has visited the site of the former council offices at North Quay in Weymouth which currently are being demolished. Owned by Dorset Council the building was costing £110,000 a year to maintain.
The plan is for the construction to be demolished by mechanical grabbers, starting in the East end of the building.
When the the demolition is completed, the site will be turned into a car park before decisions are made about the site’s future.
