Weekend Sports Report

Before the kick off Weymouth & Portland & Dorchester rugby players observe a minutes silence in honour of former Seahorses player Victor Frampton who recently passed away .

Weymouth Football Club’s senior men’s team came from behind to snatch victory by 4 goals to 3 at the Bob Lucas Stadium against visitors Hemel Hempstead Town and bank all 3 National League South points.

The Terras trailed by 2 goals to nil at one point, but Bobby Wilkinson’s boys didn’t throw in the towel and according to our Man at the Match, “Weymouth just did not give up even when they went 2 nil down. The Terras were a completely different side in the second half and never stopped running, the match sponsors gave their Man of the Match award to Ezio Touray, but for me every player deserved an award for that performance”.

Striker Brandon Goodship netted again for the Terras.

Weymouth’s goals came from Malachi Linton, Ezio Touray, Brandon Goodship and the match winner in the 95th minute of the game Keelan O’Connell.

The Magpies striker Will Fletcher scored the only goal of the game and Dorchester picked up 3 valuable Southern Premier League points.
