Dorchester singer/songwriter Nick Capaldi has just released a new single called ‘Lovely People’ which he is hoping will raise funds and awareness to local children’s charity, Julia’s House Hospice.
Nick explains, ” One of my favourite charities is Julia’s House Children’s Hospice here in Dorset. I played the song to them, and they loved it. All proceeds from the physical release of the single on vinyl and CD will be going to Julia’s House. The artwork was made by myself and my wife, Grace who did hand paintings, one of the activities the hospice do with the children.”
Nick’s debut single ‘In My Shoes’ hit No.1 on the Amazon Hot New Release list within a week of release and remained in the Top 20 Best Selling New Releases for five weeks. A track from his debut EP made a highly acclaimed appearance on the MOJO ‘Songs In The Key of Paul McCartney’ album.
The single is taken from Nick’s current album ‘You and All the Seasons’ ,which features Albert Lee, Richard Digance, Ian Jennings, Robbie McIntosh (McCartney, The Pretenders), Jody Linscott (McCartney, Elton John, Mike Oldfield) and the London Community Gospel Choir to name a few. Fresh from winning the Original Music Award, Nick is set to perform at several venues/festivals in 2024 both as a solo artist and alongside a new full band including musicians, Robbie McIntosh and BJ Cole.
