Dorset Cricket League Results:
Bere Regis beat Broadstone by 4 wickets, Dorchester beat Wimborne by 7 wickets, Martinstown beat Blandford by 1 wicket, Beaminster lost to Marnhull by 5 wickets, Corf Mullen beat Portland Red Triangle by 35 runs, Weymouth ran up their second victory of the season against Wichampton winning by 4 wickets, Puddletown beat Bere Regis second team by 81 runs and Abbotsbury lost against Winton by 5 wickets.
Although not currently confirmed by the RFU, the Dorset & Wilts senior men’s squad’s participation in this season’s Bill Beaumont County Championship may not yet be over despite losing to Devon last week as they have the best runners-up record. But if confirmed it will mean a trip to Droitwich rugby club next Saturday to play the North Midlands.

Robert Wood 109 leads the way out of the college car park, he crossed the finishing line in a time of 33 minutes and 20 seconds to win the race.
Matt Papa from Egdon Heath Harriers finished in second place in a time of 33 minutes 28 seconds with the first woman home Nat Lawerence, also from Egdon Heath with a time of 36 minutes 52 seconds.

Rugby:
The Dorset & Wilts Women’s team travelled to Withycombe to lock horns with their Devonian counterparts in the RFU Gill Burns Cup with neither side being able to break the deadlock until the 79th minute when Devon crossed the whitewash to score the only try of the game and then slot the conversion to make the final score Devon 7 pts Dorset & Wilts 0.
The Twin Counties Under 17 boys squad did have success however beating Cornwall by 29 points to 10 at Chippemham Rugby Club.
Portland United football club have acquired the services of striker Patrick Jenkins for next season.
