Armed Forces Day 2024 was hosted by the Vice-chair of Dorset Council, Cllr Les Fry, on 24th June. It was a chance to express respect and appreciation for the vital role the Armed Forces play in defending our nation, both at home and abroad. Dignitaries, including His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant, Mr. Angus Campbell CVO, the High Sheriff of Dorset, Mr. Anthony Woodhouse, and the Mayor of Dorchester, Cllr Robin Potter, were in attendance, along with other dignitaries and members of the Armed Forces and Associations. The ceremony featured speeches from various individuals, including Military Personnel from the Royal Navy, Army, and Royal Air Force. You can hear a recording of the ceremony below…
