Midweek Sports Report

At least one of our local football teams managed to record a positive result yesterday evening.

Balti Sports hosted Bridport Town Reserves for a Dorset Premier League fixture at Weymouth College Fields and scored five goals, with the Bees reserves netting twice to make the final score Balti Sports five and Bridport Town Reserves two.

Weymouth were not so fortunate, however. They conceded two goals at the Bob Lucas Stadium against visitors Chippenham, one strike each side of the half-time break.

The Terras did manage to put the ball into the back of the Bluebirds’ net, but the match officials adjudged it to be offside and ruled it out.

This result now leaves the Terras pointless and at the bottom of the National League South table, and manager Mark Molesley must be hoping to record his first win of the season next Saturday away at Boreham Wood.
