Our Merchant Navy honoured once again in Dorchester

The annual commemoration to honour our Merchant Navy took place at the Memorial area outside County Hall in Dorchester on 3rd September with a flag raising ceremony. The ceremony was led by Vice-Chair of the council, Cllr Les Fry BEM, and Merchant Navy Branch Chairman, Captain David Knight attended as well as members of Weymouth & Portland Merchant Navy with members of Royal Naval Association and Weymouth Sea Cadets. KeeP 106 provided the sound services for the occasion and you can hear a recording of the ceremony below followed by interviews with Cllr Les Fry and the retiring Lord-Lieutenant of Dorset, Angus Campbell
